The name "Aporia" is derived from the Greek term for a state of philosophical puzzlement. It is this doubt, this questioning, this ceaseless curiosity, that gives shape to the company’s mission. Aporia seeks to produce powerful theater that explores the fault lines between the known and the unknown, and to drive into the gray areas that lie between our most common conceptions.
